Welcome! One of the advantages of the GTK2 library is that it provides an architecture that enables multilingual text input and customized keyboard constructions. These input methods can support Unicode based characters or any other data types. Keyboards can vary from National and International standards to personal ones - no Limit.

Use the menu on the left to get more information for installation and usage of the available Tamil GTK2 input medthods. Currently there are the Tamil99, Tamil-Anjal and the TamilVP keyboards are supported. TSCII 1.7 and Unicode encodings are supported for Tamil99 and TamilVP. Only Unicode encoding is supported on the Anjal layout. In the future, baring any new encodings embraced by the Tamil community, only Unicode might be supported.
